Happy New Year folks! Hope your 2012 is off to a tremendous beginning! I can't speak for y'all, but I'm so glad that 2011 is over. Just about pure hell that year was. Well, not pure hell because it wasn't dark, gnashing of teeth, and worms wasn't crawling out of--well y'all get the point. I can say that the beginning of my 2012 hasn't been perfect, but today I made the decision that I'm not going to rehearse stuff that God is trying to kill. I know it's not going to be easy, but like the song writer said, "Nobody told me the road would be easy, but I don't believe He's brought me this far to leave me." Decisions I got to make are not going to be easy choices. It's never easy breaking what's been an hindrance on you for years. It's like when getting saved. Once you get saved, people think all your troubles stop. Welp, for those of us who can keep it real, we know we ain't perfect.
So my job. It could be going better. Then it could be worse. Again I can't go into specifics of what I do at work, but I can say that I'm the type of guy to like to get stuff done no matter what, you know? Taking short cuts has never been an issue for me. Don't judge me, some of y'all is just the same. Anyway, taking short cuts is not the best idea for what I do. I may not like the job, but if I want to keep this job for the time being, I got to do it right. I got to follow protocol. Like what some of us do with salvation. Some of us don't follow protocol when it comes to salvation. Notice I didn't say tradition. Notice I didn't say religion. I said salvation. We don't pray. We don't fast. We don't praise. But we do cuss, drink, fornicate, and all that...and yet say, we're strong in the faith. Yeah...So anyway, no more short cuts. With my job, and with my spiritual walk.
So that's the blog folks. Not that long I know, but I'm at Starbucks and I ain't sitting here all night just to think of something. Just wanted to post a little something something for ya...
